One video was made viral on various social platforms wherein one rider of Scooter with Pillion rider was seen performing stunt on public road at Canca, Bardez,Goa. Accordingly, by taking cognizance of the video Mapusa Police have identified rider who was found to be Minor in age and Scooter bearing registration No. GA-03-AK-5549 was identified.
The owner Mr. Akbar Sayyadpir Lingedarkop, aged 27 years R/o Ganganagar, Khorlim, Mapusa, Bardez,Goa informed that he had given his Scooter a minor boy and the said minor boy was moving with other cousin.
Hence the owner of scooter Mr. Akbar Sayyadpir Lingedarkop, aged 27 years R/o Ganganagar, Khorlim, Mapusa, Bardez,Goa was arrested on 20.07.2023. The Pillion rider Mr. Saidhusab Lingedarkop was warned for his act. The Rider Minor boy has been sent at Apna Ghar, Merces.
SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed that the act of rider of scooter riding without MDL, without wearing a helmet in, and riding in a rash negligent manner, without ensuring proper care violated multiple M.V. Act and thereby endangered the life and Property of commuters who were using the Public road. Hence FIR under sections 279, 336 IPC, Sec 3, 129, 177, 180, 184, 192, 194-D of M.V. Act has been registered.
The investigation is in progress with HC 4848 Shivaji Shetkar, under the Supervision of PI Mapusa Shitakant Nayak, SDPO Mapusa Shri Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan.
