Pernem: Students of Harmal Panchakroshi higher secondary school got the first hand experience of emergency evacuation and disaster management at the mock drill by the fire and emergency department by the Pernem fire station.
Around 650 students and 55 staff participated in the evacuation drill conducted under school disaster management. Station fire officer of Pernem fire station Namdev Parvar explained to students various precautions to be taken in case of fire emergency and other natural disasters.
Various demonstration to save life during the case of emergency like accident were given to students.
Fire extinguishing demonstration and the use of fire extinguisher were given to students.
Various principles of evacuation process were explained to the students and practical demonstration were held to explain the evacuation process in case of any emergency.
Students along with the staff participated in the evacuation process demonstration.
