Calangute: Police arrested 39-year-old Austin D’Souza at Calangute for possessing heroin worth Rs 90,000.
He is booked under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Police said that the raid was conducted near Pizza Hut, Gaurawado, Calangute, during the search conducted of black colour Mahindra Thar bearing registration No. GA-03-AF-1289 which was driven by accused Austin D’Souza S/o Abel DSouza, age-39 years, R/o H.No. 128 B, Umtawado, Calangute, found in the same vehicle an illegal possession of white colour powder like substance suspected to be Heroin weighing 09 grams worth Rs. 90,000/- approx
Accused person is arrested on 21/02/2023 and lodged in PS lock up
Remanded to 3 days Police custody .
Thar vehicle which accused used for the commission of crime worth approximately 16 lakhs also attached under this offence
