Old Goa police have arrested 04 persons including one police constable in a case of threatening at knife point.
As per the complaint of one Mr. Mohammad Haldwale, R/o Indiranagar, Chimbel when he had gone to a garage at Chimbel along with his motorcycle the accused persons Mr. Mustafa, Mr. Afzal, Mr. Karpuswamy and Mr. Arshad Khan came near the complainant and threatened him with knife and hurled abuses at him and said that they will kill him. The complainant somehow managed to run away and called police and was further rescued and brought at police station.
One of the accused Mr. Arshad Khan is a police constable Nd currently attached to Panaji Police Station.
The cause of the fight was the complainant being in relationship with the sister of accused Arshad Khan.
Police have registered offence under section 506 (2) , 352 , 504 r/w 34 IPC.
All four accused lodge in police lock up
Further investigation is in progress with LPSI Veronica Coutinho under the supervision of pi Jivba Dalvi.
