Fatorda: All eyes are now on Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai’s scheduled Janata Darbar at Margao after doubts were raised over Margao Municipal Council allowing him to use the municipality hall for the same.
A senior GFP official said that Sardesai has sought permission to use Margao municipality hall to hold Janata Darbar to meet general public on July 4.
The speculations are that the Municipality may not allow Sardesai to use the hall. The accusations are levelled against Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, who holds power in the municipality, of directing the municipality not to allow the hall to be used by Sardesai for his Janata Darbar.
Sardesai has been holding Janata Darbar ahead of the Legislative assembly session. The recent such event was held at Canacona.
