Sattari: Pujan Melekar, 22, died after being attacked by Wild Bison at Xel-Dhada village of Guleli panchayat today morning.
The girl died while being treated at Goa medical college and hospital (GMCH) after she was attacked by Wild Bison. She was travelling towards the office along with her younger brother.
The boy was riding the bike and deceased on a pillion when Wild Bison attacked by Wild Bison at Xel-Dhada village of Guleli panchayat.
Health minister Vishwajit Rane who visited GMCH this morning said that he had asked Forest department officials to tranquilise the heard of Wild Bisons, which is moving around Guleli panchayat area and relocate them.
“The death is due to sheer negligence of the forest department officials who were informed about the heard going around the village. They were also asked to tranquilise the heard and relocate them inside the forest. But they did not pay any heed,” Rane said.
