Panaji:  Shiv Sena Spokesman Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik has condemned the sadist behaviour of Bharatiya Janata Party whose workers were celebrating on the streets of Curchorem-Sanvordem, when Mining Dependent People were crying for resumption of mining industry in the state, through a public meeting at Usgao.

Naik has said that the BJP time and again is getting exposed for the crime they have committed towards the mining industry. This industry, which was functioning properly till 2012, suddenly was pushed into crisis by Manohar Parrikar to gain political mileage and win assembly election.

“Since then, the industry continues reeling under the crisis while BJP has been just bargaining time through their useless meetings with Nitin Gadkari and Delhi visits. The party is uttering a word on Ordinance, which can solve the issue,” Naik said.

Shiv Sena was shocked looking at audacity of the BJP workers who held two-wheeler rally Sanvordem to celebrate four years of Modi led government. “Actually these workers should have joined the mining dependents for their public rally and understood the sentiments of lakhs of people who are currently unemployed because of the faulty policies of BJP,” she said.

It was stark contradiction to look at the pictures of BJP workers who were smiling and busy clicking selfies in the town of Sanvordem and Curchorem while on another side the people had gathered at Usgao demanding resumption of mining activity, Naik said.

BJP workers should have condemned Modi led government for their failure to restart mining in the state rather than celebrating it, Naik said.

Sena has said that they are with the people dependent on the mining industry and would remain so till the industry restarts in the state. Sena will also petition its national leaders to take up the issue in the centre and in the Parliament.
