Panaji: Assistant Superintendent of Central Jail at Colvale has been posted to check body temperature through thermal gun at Inspector General of Prisons (IGP) in Panaji Head Office.
This was revealed during visit by Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi Goa chief Aishwarya Salgaonkar to the office of IG Prisons recently.
Salgaonkar claimed that Chandrakant Harijan, who is to Assistant Superintendent of Central Jail at Colvale was found checking people arriving at the IG Prison office with thermal gun.
She has sought intervention of Governor Satya Pal Malik and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant into the matter.
MISREPRESENTATION TO HIGHER UPS?
Sources stated that one of the old hand in administration section of IG Prison has been behind such a posting. He has been misguiding the senior officers due to which such issues are arising.
