Margao: Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa has stirred controversy after claiming that he would have been able to carry out more developmental work if he were in the ruling party.
During his speech at the inauguration of the panchayat building for Naqueri-Betul, the Quepem MLA also stated that the Chief Minister was “looking out for him,” adding, “That can be seen later.”
These comments were made in the presence of CM Dr. Pramod Sawant, who attended the event.
His statements have sparked a debate over whether Altone is considering switching from Congress to the BJP.
