Margao: Goa Forward Party Chief and State Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai stressed the need to liberate ourselves from “regressive ideas, pseudo activism, external interference and patronizing attitudes.”
Sardesai was addressing a gathering after unfurling flag at Margao.
“It is true that the liberation of Goa happened in 1961. But we should remember that liberation is a continous process and it can never be over,” he said.
“Only the adversaries have changed. We have new threats from the inside and the outside. We have to liberate ourselves from regressive ideas, pseudo activism, external interference and patronizing attitudes,” Sardesai said without elaborating further.
“We have to also liberate us from our prejudices, negativity, dogmas and petty rivalries. We should also liberate ourselves from dependence,” he said.
“Only then we can take Goa Forward. We are in need of a neo-liberation. For that we need neo revolutionaries, neo-activists and neo-Goemkars (Goans),” he added.
