Vinod Palekar’s visit to MGP backed Ponda Council raises eyebrows

Ponda: In a surprise move, Goa Forward Party leader and Water Resources Department Minister Vinod Palekar paid visit to MGP-backed Ponda Municipal Council.

The minister along with GFP leader Rajesh Verenkar and party’s Vice President Durgadas Kamat visited the municipal council led by Chairperson Pradeep Naik.

The council is backed by MGP, which won the last election.

Naik said that the minister during the interaction with the councilors have asked them to submit details about the works that are pending in their areas by adopting proper resolution.

“The minister has said that all the works would be completed within a stipulated time,” he said.

During the visit, Palekar visited the site of collapsed retaining wall at Zareshwar near Ponda Bus Stand and also Hanuman Teerth.
