Bicholim: The Bromance between Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai and former MLA Naresh Sawal is clearly showing enough hints. Sawal seems to be inclined towards Sardesai’s GFP.
Though there is no formal confirmation about the political development, there are enough hints that Naresh Sawal is looking at reviving his political career in the constituency.
Independent MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye has already become a BJP leader after participating in the protests against Congress on Tuesday.
Shetye has also shown interest in getting BJP ticket for the 2027 election.
Congress is without a formidable leader in the constituency. Meghashyam Raut has been one of the leader who is backing Rahul Gandhi led party.
In such circumstances, Naresh Sawal is clearly looking at Vijai Sardesai. At least, that is what it looks like. Sardesai was at the ancestral home of Sawal at Mencurem recently, during which their body language was enough indicative of the politics that would be unveiled in the Bicholim Assembly constituency.
