Panaji: MGPs move to go to court is surprising; they have shown pain for Congress loss; it could be preemptive, says TCP Minister and Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai.
Sardesai was reacting to MGPs move to go to court seeking disqualification of former congress MLAs Subhash Shirodkar and Dayanand Sopte, who have joined BJP.
“It is a matter between two components of the alliance- BJP and MGP therefore onset we are not concerned with it,” he reacted.
“As far as MGP is concerned, MGP move to go to court is surprising because MGP has shown pain for congress loss. Therefore I could believe that it is preemptive move …they have not lost anything…Congress has lost two MLAs who have voluntarily resigned,” Sardesai stated.
“At the prima facie, it looks like surprising move. It could be preemptive. There is Konkani saying ‘Aj tuka falya maka’…..,” he added.
“May be in the larger interest of having a clean politics or setting a good precedent with a larger intention they must have also moved to Court. But what is surprising is that Congress has not gone to court,” he stated.
Sardesai said that as far as government stability is concerned, what MGP does, not necessarily impact the government but it will impact on basis of what Sudin Dhavalikar does.
“There is a difference is between MGP going to court and Sudin being part of it,” he stated.
