UP government extends invitation to Goa CM to participate in Mahakumbh 2025

Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Thursday was extended invitation on behalf of Uttar Pradesh government to participate in the Mahakumbh 2025 to be held at Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025.

Uttar Pradesh Minister Ramkesh Nishad met the CM at his official residence in Panaji on Thursday to extend the invitation.

In his post on ‘X’ handle, sawant said that he was honoured to receive an invitation on behalf of people of Goa for the Mahakumbh 2025, to be held between 13 January and 25 February 2025 at Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj from UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

Sawant wrote “Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s efforts led to UNESCO recognising Mahakumbh as an ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.’
The chief minister said that Mahakumbh is a sacred occasion for the Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskruti leading to cultural, Adhyatmic churning in the country and the world.
Sawant thanked Nishad for visiting Goa to personally convey this gracious invitation.
