Calangute police have arrested two persons today in connection with a mobile theft that had happened on 24/11/2018.
PI Jivba Dalvi informed that upon the complaint of Santosh Yadav R/o Gurugram Haryana complaining that some unknown accused persons had committed theft of her purse containing her mobile and other belongings police registered an FIR and started investigating immediately.
Accordingly the mobile was tracked by the police and the same was found to be in use in Baga, Calangute. Based upon investigation police the phone user was traced at Baga being used by Mr. Humendurrehman S/o Jabir Hussain N/o Behar Kheri, Uttar Pradesh and he was detained and placed under arrest. Further during interrogation he disclosed the name of another of his partner involved in the crime.
Further police also traced the second accused person and identified him as Mr. Harigopal Pathak N/o Sakrawa, Uttar Pradesh who was also placed under arrest.
Police have successfully recovered the Redmi mobile phone worth Rs. 20,000/-.
Both accused person are currently in police custody after arrested under section 379 IPC. Police are currently finding out if any more persons are involved in crime.
Further investigation is in progress with LPSI Sapna Gawas under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
