Calangute: A Delhi based tourist died on the spot while his wife was critically injured on Friday when lightening struck them at Candolim beach this evening, police said.
Calangute Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo said that 35-year-old tourist Chaitanya Nagpal who was holidaying with his wife in Goa died when lightening struck when he was on Candolim beach.
His wife has been critically injured and taken to the hospital, he said adding that the incident happened on Friday.
