Panaji: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on Friday expressed hope that UK will restore e-visa facility under the regime of new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Khaunte said that the tourism and allied businesses are badly affected in both India and UK due to non-restoration of e-visa by the latter.
The tourism minister tweeted “Tourism and allied businesses are badly affected in both India and UK due to non-restoration of e-visa’s by UK. Hoping for an early resolution under the new Indian origin PM Rishi Sunak.”
The chartered flights from the UK are yet to start to Goa for this tourist season while first flight from Kazakhstan has arrived this week bringing in foreign tourists.
