Panaji: Former Goa chief minister and TMC’s National Vice President Luizinho Faleiro has been nominated by the party to the Upper House of the Parliament.
The 70-year-old leader had recently joined Mamata Banerjee-led party, which has decided to contest upcoming Goa election.
All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday broke the news through its twitter account informing about Faleiro’s nomination to Rajya Sabha.
TMC tweeted “We are extremely pleased to nominate @luizinhofaleiro to the Upper House of the Parliament. We are confident that his efforts towards serving the nation shall be appreciated widely by our people!.”
Faleiro could not be contacted for his comments.
