Panaji: Additional Sessions Court in Panaji on Saturday acquitted three accused chargesheeted for attempt to kill Vinayak Fadte at Old Goa.
The court acquitted Netra Singh, Sandeep Pujari and Yen John.
The case had then attained media limelight after businessman Rajesh Faldesai, who is currently MLA of Cumbharjua along with Zenito Cardoso, Mahavir Nadar, Chetan Korgaonkar were also chargesheeted.
Faldesai, Zenito, Nadar and Korgaonkar were discharged by the High Court earlier, while trial on Netra Singh, Sandeep Pujari and Yen John was still going on.
Advocate Anup Kurtarkar represented Pujari while Advocate Michael Nazareth represented Singh and John for the trial.
The incident had happened on February 05, 2010 in which Jagannath Fadte had complained that two unknown accused persons with their common intention had assaulted his son, Vinayak, with iron pipe on his head and body while he was proceeding towards his flat.
During the investigation, police had arrested all the accused.
