TFS wins bid for revamping Food and Beverages at Goa Airport

Vasco: The Travel Food Services (TFS), India’s leading travel, food and retail company, has won the bid as master concessionaire for Retail and Food and Beverages for Goa airport, a senior Airport Authority of India (AAI) official said on Tuesday.

“The TFS has won the contract as a master concessionaire for retail and Food and Beverages for Goa airport at the cost of Rs 3.98 crore per month. The company will revamp entire Food and Beverages facility at Goa Airport,” BCH Negi, Goa Airport Director, told reporters at Vasco, 40 kms away from here.

He said that the company will invite several reputed food and Beverages brands to set up their stalls at the Airport, which with minimum of two international and a domestic brand.

Negi said that the Airport Authority of India, in an attempt to upgrade passenger experience of Goa Airport had floated tenders to select the best in class agencies.

“The TFS had won the contract in heavily contested bid and was awarded the contract for revamping the dining facilities and raise them to international standards,” the Director said.

He said that the company has already opened 13 outlets and by the end of December, all the outlets will be operational including food court.

“The TFS is India’s leading travel F&B and Retail Company, with more than 280 outlets across travel-hubs including Airports, Railway Stations and Highways spread across 19 cities,” said Sunil Kapur, Chairman, TFS.

The company has major concessions across key airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta and Bengaluru, he said.

He stated that revamping Goa airport would be an exciting opportunity for the company, as the state is the holiday capital of India.
