Porvorim: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has demanded temporary and planned lockdown as soon as possible to tackle ever increasing COVID-19 positive cases in the state.
Khaunte tweeted “I hope Governor’s meeting with @goacm, @visrane and govt officials today will result in some definitive measures to control the coronavirus spread. Case load and deaths by COVID-19 have been spiking at a record breaking rate and our healthcare system is overwhelmed at the moment.”
“I believe that a temporary planned lockdown is needed ASAP. This time must be used to increase medical facilities and testing rapidly.”
“Pleas to @DrPramodPSawant has not yielded any results in the past. I had requested Hon’ble Governor to step in as well. Hopefull we will see swift action now.”
