Panaji: Revolutionary Goans Party President Manoj Parab on Monday alleged that the technical glitch during the performance of the Marathi drama Purush would tarnish Goa’s image.

He said that national and international artists who face such issues due to the poor quality of work at Kala Academy will leave with bad memories.

Parab termed Sunday’s incident as shameful.

“The performers had brought their own sound system because they had no faith in Kala Academy. If they had known the lights would also be an issue, they would have brought their own lighting equipment,” said the RGP chief.

He also urged Goans to question what happened to the ₹60 crore reportedly spent on refurbishing the Kala Academy building and its facilities.
