Panaji: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Board meeting scheduled on May 16 will resolve to de-notify villages from St Cruz & St Andre from the jurisdiction of Greater Panjim Planning and Development Authority ( GPPDA), informed TCP Minister Vijai Sardessai.
This is going to be the first meeting of the TCP Board post the anti-PDA and anti-Regional plan 2021 protest held across State.
The Board had last met on March 19 when it had constituted a sub-committee to go into the objections raised by the villages that were included in GPPDA. The Board was suppose to meet on April 10, however the same was postponed.
‘ On the eve of Easter I had made promise to the people of St Cruz and St Andre that their villages will be removed from GPPDA. I have to fulfil that promise. Our board will resolve it during the forthcoming meeting,” Sardesai said.
