Panaji: Taxi operators from Goa have revived their demand to scrap Goa Miles following clashes between the two. Earlier, taxi owners of from Mandrem had written to village panchayat demanding a strict action against Goa Miles and now Chetan Kamat, taxi leader from Calangute has demanded that Calangute MLA Michael Lobo should resign and prove that he is with taxi operators of Goa.
While addressing the press, Chetan Kamat along with taxi owners said, “Michael Lobo always contends that he is with the Taxi owners but now we need him more than ever. He should come out in our support have a dialogue with us and scrap Goa Miles.” The taxi leader also complained that they did not get any tax relief during the last six months amid the crisis situation caused by the pandemic.
