Panaji: The unprovoked attacked against the drivers on taxi affiliated to Goa Miles continued on Wednesday with three different incidents reported in North Goa.
Goa Miles taxi drivers were attacked at three different locations – Calangute, Vagaotor and Karmali railway station – by taxi mafia.
The attack seems to be continuation of earlier incident wherein Goa Miles taxi driver was assaulted outside a hotel at Arpora. The complaint was lodged against three tourist taxi operators.
The popularity of Goa Miles and affordability of the rides provided by them seems to have become irritant for the tourist taxi operators, who are venting out their frustration through such attacks.
