Panaji: State government has appointed BJP Shiroda MLA Subhash Shirodkar as the chairman of Goa Housing Board.
Shirodkar had resigned from Congress party and joined BJP in October 2018 along with Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte, who is now the chairman of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
Additional Secretary (Housing) Michael D’Souza has issued a notification in this regard.
The managing director of Goa Housing Board is the member secretary. Finance Secretary and Secretary Housing are also members.
The other members on board include Narayan Kamat from Shiroda, Shekhar Khadapkar from Dabolim, Sudesh Bhosle from Vasco, Pravin Kukalekar of Old Goa and Madhu Parab of Pernem.
