Panaji: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has said that they condemn the statement of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi who had “attempted to portray Hindus as violent.”
Demanding strict action against the Lok Leader of Opposition, the HJS has said that all the Congress leaders should clarify their stance on what they think of Hindus.
In a media statement issued here on Tuesday, the HJS has said Rahul Gandhi’s statement in Parliament attempted to portray Hindus as violent, and we strongly condemn this.
The right wing organisation has said that this is not his first attempt; previously, the Congress has tried to introduce the concept of saffron terrorism or Hindu terrorism.
“The Congress has always tried to defame the Hindu community on a global level. Rahul Gandhi’s earlier visits to temples wearing a sacred thread were deceitful, as he has now made it clear to the Hindu community,” the HJS said.
The samiti said thatGandhi, whom he often references for his non-violence teachings, himself identified as a Hindu who believed in the chaturvarna. “Rahul Gandhi should understand this clearly,” the HJS said.
It has further said that the global Hindu community today is recognized for its ideology of universal peace and welfare, embodying the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or the world as one family.
“Labeling this community as violent or terrorist is an attempt to tarnish its reputation. Rahul Gandhi should feel ashamed of his ancestors instead. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demands that strict action be taken against him, and all Congress leaders should clarify their stance on what they think of Hindus,” the HJS said.
