Congress Party strongly condemns the act of the BJP Government to stop the peaceful Aarti book release function organised by Bhandari Samaj Youth wing stated Amarnath Panjikar.
It is extremely shameful and shocking that the Joint Mamlatdar forces the Bhandari Samaj to stop the function by using Police force in the presence of former CM & MLA Ravi Naik, former ministers Dilip Parulekar and Dayanand Mandrekar, MLA’s Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palyenkar, former MLA Kiran Kandolkar and Bhandari Samaj president Ashok Naik. This is a direct attempt to supress the voice of Bhandari Samaj.
Incidentally, just a few days back the BJP sang the praises of Bhandari Samaj while admitting Roy Ravi Naik and Ritesh Ravi Naik in their party. The supporters of Naik brothers were telling others that BJP is the savior of the Bhandari Samaj. Yesterdays incidence have demolished all their claims.
It is unfortunate that the North Goa District BJP president Mahanand Asnodkar had to literally beg with folded hands before the Governmemnt officials to allow them to continue with the functions, exposes the fact that who calls the shots in BJP and what value Bhandari Samaj have in the party.
The Congress party has always stood for Bhandari Samaj and has always supported leaders and workers from Bhandari Samaj and have given them suitable representations.
