Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today announced to approach Center with a recommendation to honour renowned neurosurgeon Dr Premanand Ramani for prestigious Padma Vibhushan award.
Dr Ramani was today honoured with State’s prestigious civilian award Gomant Vibhushan at the hands of Chief Minister.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister said that State Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude will write to Center recommending Dr Ramani name for Padma Vibhushan award.
“State government will pursue with the Center,” he said.
81 year old Dr Ramani is known for PLIF Ramani neurospinal surgery Technique.
