State to draft Night Tourism Policy

Panaji: Ahead of new tourism season, Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar today announced to draft Night Tourism Policy for the State.

Ajgaonkar said that the policy will be framed shortly in consultation with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. “No foreigner will be given bar license or be allowed to operate in the night life industry,” he said in a press statement issued on Tuesday.

Ajgaonkar has also warned of police action against persons indulging in anti-social elements that would tarnish the image of the State.

“Illegal activities like night clubs associated with drugs and other illegal activities such as flesh trades, etc will not be tolerated,” Minister said.

Minister said that the tourism department will strive hard to get high value international visitors this season, so also focusing on Indian tourist with attention.
