Panaji: State government is working towards achieving the objective of national scheme ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ by covering all the households with metered water tap connections through piped water supply before 2024.
Government has asked all those households without metered water tap to approach PWD for connections.
The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) a Centrally Sponsored Scheme is launched in the country with an aim to provide functional households tapped connection with piped water supply to every household by the year 2024.
” The State Government has also taken up the initiative to achieve the objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the entire State to achieve 100% metered water tap connections through piped water supply before the national Goal of 2024,” government said in a press statement issued.
The PWD has taken up the mandate to provide each and every household with metered water tap connection through piped water supply to achieve 100% coverage.
The households which are not having have metered water tap connection are requested to approach the Office of the Assistant Engineer, PWD, (water Supply Office) and submit the duly filled in application form along with all the desired documents which will help the Department to prepare the action plan to provide the water supply connections.
