Porvorim: Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Ganesh Gaonkar on Tuesday warned Cabinet ministers against unruly behaviour in the House during the ongoing session.
The Budget session of the Goa Legislative Assembly is currently underway.
The Speaker, without referring to any particular instance, ruled that he has observed a recurring pattern of behaviour during the Assembly session wherein members of the Council of Ministers have engaged in raising their voices, shouting, taunting, threatening, ridiculing and directing personal accusations at members.
Such conduct is unethical to the solemn oath of office taken under the Third Schedule of the Constitution of India, which guides ministers to discharge their duties ethically: Speaker Ganesh Gaonkar.
The Budget session of the Legislative Assembly began on March 6 and will culminate on March 27.
