Panaji: Superintendent of Police (South) Arvind Gawas has denied that Police Sub Inspector Sudin Redkar conducted inquiry in connection with the case against himself. He has made the statement speaking to Marathi newspaper Lokmat.
But Gawas has lied. We are producing you the letter which is signed by PSI Redkar giving clean chit to himself in Amit Naik Custodial assault case.
Lies were not expected from the seniormost officer like Gawas who has been known for his clean reputation in the department. It is only because of the attitude to shield the juniors that officers like PSI Sudin Redkar dare to assault people.
As we have said we will follow this case to logical conclusion. The lies of Gawas are exposed. We don’t expect him to accept that he lied but his conscience will certainly prick.
