Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that the government-run nursing institution will be established in South District of the state during upcoming academic year.

In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Rane said that as promised to the people of South Goa during our last assembly session on the floor of the house, a government-run nursing institution will be established in the upcoming academic year.

“In the interim, we will utilise this time to complete all the necessary formalities,” he said.
The Health Minister said that this nursing institution will greatly benefit the people of South Goa, providing students who aspire to become nurses with opportunities to pursue their careers while strengthening the overall healthcare system in the state of Goa.

Goa currently has a single state-run Goa Institute of Nursing Education at Bambolim village near Panaji in North Goa.
