Panaji: The postmortem conducted on the corpse of BJP leader Sonali Phogat on Thursday has revealed that there were “multiple blunt force injuries” on her body.
A panel of forensic experts from Goa Medical College and Hospital had conducted autopsy on the body of Sonali on Thursday morning.
Dr Sunil Shrikant Chimbolkar from Forensic Science Department of GMCH in his report has reserved the cause of death pending chemical analysis.
“The cause of death due to the best of my knowledge and belief is reserved pending chemical analysis. Histopathology and serological reports of the tissues preserved,” the report reads.
The report further states “However there are multiple blunt force injuries over the body. In view of the above, the manner of death is for the investigating officer to ascertain.”
