Sonali Phogat case: Seven days Judicial custody to three accused

Panaji: Goa court on Friday granted seven days judicial custody to three accused arrested in connection with Sonali Phogat alleged murder case.

The local court in Panaji on Friday granted seven days Judicial custody to Edwin Nunes, owner of Curlies Restaurant and two drug peddlers Dattaprasad Gaonkar and Ramdas Mandrekar who were arrested in Phogat case, a senior police official said.

Phogat was brought in dead on August 23 in a private hospital at Anjuna, hours after her arrival in the coastal state.

Police have arrested five accused including her personal assistant Sudhir Sagwan, Sukhwinder Singh, Nunes, Gaonkar and Mandrekar.

Nunes, Gaonkar and Mandrekar were initially remanded to five days Police Custody which expired on Friday.
