Panaji: Union AYUSH minister Shripad Naik, who was tested positive for COVID-19 infection, was shifted to hospital on Thursday evening from his Home isolation, family sources stated.
The 67-year-old MP from North Goa was tested positive for COVID-19 infection Wednesday along with his wife.
“He complained of fever after which he was taken to the hospital on Thursday night. His fever has subsided now,” Naik’s elder son, Sidhesh said on Friday.
He said that his mother has also been hospitalized but has been kept under observation.
Naik who was tested positive for the infection on Wednesday had opted for Home Isolation at his residence at Ribandar on the outskirt of Panaji.
