Panaji: Union Minister of State for Defence Shri Shripad Naik yesterday handed over cheques of Rs 35,000 each to four disaster victims from Moula-Bhati as financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scheme. This small program of handing over cheques was held at by Shri. Shripad Naik`s residence at Sao Pedro, Ribandar yesterday.
On behalf of the disaster victims, Social activists Shri. Ramrao Surya Wagh and Shri. Nandesh Naik, son of Smt. Bhavana Naik accepted the cheques.
Two years ago, heavy rains destroyed the house of Naik family staying together at Mowla-Bhati. Shri. Kolu Naik, Shri. Umakant Naik, Shri. Suresh Naik and Smt. Bhavana Naik, four heads of families approached Shri Shripad Naik for the financial aid. The Union Ministers sympathetically considered their appeal and immediately started efforts to provide financial assistance to them under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scheme.
Beneficiaries have thanked Union Minister of State for Defense Shri. Shripad Naik and Chief Minister of Goa Dr.Pramod Sawant for providing them financial assistance.
