Panaji: Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Defence has condoled the death of Educationist, A Social worker and a Political leader former MLA of Thivim constituency Vinayak Naik who passed away this morning. Vinayak Naik was known for his love for education. He started couple of schools in North Goa. He was Ex Principal of Dr. Amb edkar Higher Secondary School, Colvale and Ex Headmaster of Vidyaniketan High School , Calangute. As a book lover, he organized several book exhibitions. He was a strong supporter of Marathi language and took part in the agitation for official language status for Marathi.
