Panjim: Shiv Sena has congratulated veteran leader, thinker and social activist Prof Subhash Velingkar for being elected as Chief of Goa Suraksha Manch.
Sena’s Goa Vice President and Spokesman Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik has also welcomed Prof Velingkar into active politics.
“Congratulations Prof Subhash Velingkar for being announced as Chief of Goa Surksha Manch. His entry into politics will foster Shiv Sena’s march towards having corruption-free, clean and stable politics,” she said.
Naik has said that the need of the hour is to have honest, non-corrupt and nationalistic leaders taking on the reigns of politics.
“In the form of Velingkar, we have got a leader who symbolizes clean, non-corrupt and ideologistic politics,” she said.
Naik has said that Sena during 2017 Goa Assembly Election had alliance with GSM, and had won fair share of votes.
“We are hopeful that Velingkar’s venture in the active politics will help to further boost the alliance which was announced in the run up for Assembly Election,” she said.
Sena has always stood for honest politics and committed towards welfare of the people. Our President Uddhavji Thackrey and our senior leader Sanjayji Raut has propagated nationalistic politics in the country, she said.
