Panaji: Hours after North District Police raided a gambling den in Pernem seizing Rs 60 lakh, Shiv Sena has congratulated Superintendent of Police (North) Chandan Chaudhury for the action.
Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi President Shreha Dhargalkar this morning met Chaudhury to congratulate her for the raid and cracking down on the gambling network.
Dhargalkar assured all the possible help on the part of Shiv Sena to police to crack down gambling which has been affecting the women as men are spending their hard earned money on this activity.
She said that gambling is one of the evil that needs to be controlled so that the society can live in peace.
