Bambolim: AAP Goa Vice President Ramrao Wagh has said that it  is really a shame that Dr Pramod Sawant administration has  delayed the allotment and operation of rehabilitated kiosks of the vendors who were outside GMC after demolishing them and crushing their hopes of carrying out their business.

“This is so much about his pet scheme of Swaysmpurna Goa. The then BJP MLAs Francisco silveira and Tony Fernandes had remained mute spectators when other leaders had agitated,” Wagh said.

He said  later both these MLAs aling with curca panchayat members and other sarpanch had assured vendors that they will provide alternate well built kiosks.

“Now when kiosks ate ready why are they not handed over to them? Is there attempt to grab these shops by some local panch members and other influential persons? We are closely watching the matter,” he said.

“We had the list of vendors who had submitted the memorandum requesting government not to demolish their shops until alternate space is allotted. These are the genuine people who should be provided the shops. What is the action local MLA Viresh Borkar taking on this? How long the shopkeepers have to wait? We have recently lost Mr Sandeep Chodankar a vendor whose shop was demolished and who was on the forefront of demand to seek justice from government.”

“It is high tine that government , collector office and panchayat sort out this matter and provide solace to vendors as well to public who were benefitting from their services when they visit GMC,” he added.
