Panaji: After spending almost nine years in jail, Serial Killer Mahanand Naik will be out on parole.
Mahanand who hails from Shiroda is accused of killing around 15 women after befriending them. He is also charged of rape in one case.
Mahanand will be out on 21 day parole and will have to furnish gurantee of personal bond of Rs 1 lakh taking into account his good behavior in jail.
Mahanand was arrested way back in 2009 and is charged of murder and rape.He has been sentenced to undergo life imprisonment in two separate murder cases, while being acquitted in eight cases.
He has also been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for rape.
