Fatorda: Goa Forward Party President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, in a letter written to the Chief Minister, pointed out that he had highlighted the corruption in the selection process of government jobs frequently during the last State Legislative Assembly session.
Sardesai stated that now, when people have come forward with their complaints, the state government should form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) dedicated to probing these recruitment scams without any delay. “The SIT should comprise professionals from outside the Goa administration to ensure an impartial and thorough investigation. This team should have unrestricted access to records, documents, and personnel necessary for uncovering the full extent of this scam,” he said.
Sardesai also demanded the immediate suspension of all recruitment processes until the SIT completes its investigation. The GFP President has further demanded that the state government clarify the issue of the “job mafia.” “The state government owes it to the people of Goa to reveal whether this so-called job mafia is a private enterprise or a state-sponsored network,” he said. He also urged that the state government address the recommendations issued by the previous committee that reviewed the Public Works Department recruitment scam.
