Margao: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said the people of Bihar have made it clear that they want a government focused on development, not one marked by Gunda Raj or Jungle Raj.

Reacting to the victory of the NDA in the Bihar election, Sawant told reporters in Margao that the people of the state have voted for development. “Bihar has indicated that they don’t want Gunda Raj or Jungle Raj,” he added.

The chief minister congratulated PM Narendra Modi, the BJP leadership and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the victory. He also thanked the people of Bihar for giving a clear majority to the NDA.

“It is a clean sweep. The NDA government has been elected in Bihar,” Sawant said.

He stated that the Bihar election was fought by the NDA with the agenda of development. “Bihar has witnessed infrastructure and human resource development under the leadership of PM Modi,” he commented.

Sawant said the people of Bihar have shown that future elections will be fought on the agenda of development and not on the basis of religion or caste.

“The people have voted for Vikasit Bharat 2047,” he said.
