SANCOALE: In a new political twist seven members of the eleven member Sancoale Panchayat have signed a no confidence motion against Deputy Sarpanch Nandini Dessai accusing her for not taking them into confidence and for executing works without taking the members into confidence.
The letter of No confidence motion signed by Sarpanch Girish Pillai, Kavita Kamal, Arish Kabar, Narayan Naik, Govind Lamani, Satish Padwalkar and Succorina Vales has been submitted before the office of Mormugao BDO on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters, Dessai however claimed that she is unaware about the move. ” Though I am not aware about the steps taken by some of my colleagues in Panchayat, however I respect their decision and want to assure that our Panchayat is united and will remain united” she told.
