Bambolim: Sports Department has clarified that the main gate of the SAG stadium at Bambolim remains open for the student, as it was done even in the past.
Reacting to the video of students passing through a narrow gate to reach to their School Buses, Sports Minister Govind Gaude said that the main gate remains open while the gate shown in the video was always shut.
“Some students were taking short cut through another gate all this time. That gate was always closed,” he said.
Gaude said that the SAG has called for a meeting with the managements of schools at Curca complex on September 13 to discuss the issue.
The minister said that the SAG cannot close the main gate of the complex as there are 250 staff working there.
