Panaji: Goa Forward Party chief and former Deputy Chief minister Vijai Sardesai on Monday said that some forces were trying to stigmatise him by spreading the rumours.
Sardesai was referring to news in certain section of media which had claimed that he would be joining BJP along with MGP MLA Sudin Dhavalikar.
The former Deputy chief minister who is currently on Portugal trip said that “nowadays in Goa rumours are manufactured by the same insecure people who dismiss them later.”
Sardesai was Deputy chief minister in Pramod Sawant-led cabinet who was dropped after ten Congress MLAs switched side to BJP earlier this year.
Posting his picture in front of a Catholic shrine dedicated to Virgin Mary at Portugal, Sardesai tweeted “Y-Day @one of the most important Catholic shrines in the world dedicated to the virgin mary, @Fatima @Portugal. I participated in the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. I take inspiration from the Holy Mother to resist all nefarious plansof some forces to stigmatise me by spreading rumours,” he said.
