Panaji: RTI Activist Rajan Ghate who was on fast unto death in Panaji demanding resignation of CM Manohar Parrikar was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, after his health deteriorated.
Ghate has been on the fast since last eleven days at Azad Maidan demanding resignation of Parrikar owing to his ill-health.
The RTI activist was taken to GMCH by an ambulance by State Police after his health deteriorated, this evening.
Ghate said that he has not broken his fast and would continue it when he is discharged from the hospital.
“My fast will continue till Parrikar resigns or allots the additional portfolios to his cabinet ministers,” he said.
Parrikar, 62, has been recuperating at his private residence near here since October 14 when he was discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
