Margao: Former Goa Pradesh Congress Committee chief Girish Chodankar has alleged that some mine owners and coal mafia were pressurizing Congress MLAs to switch over the side to BJP.
Chodankar said that mine owners and coal mafia were giving offers up to Rs 30 crore to Rs 40 crore for each of the MLA to switch the side.
He said that Congress MLAs have taken oath before God not to switch side before the election. “I don’t think our MLAs will never go against the God. They would not lie to God,” he said.
Chodankar said that Congress MLAs are intact and they will not split.
